My husband is a pastor with his office in our house, so we are blessed with a lot of time together at home (although I'm not as good at resisting the urge to interrupt him, and those sermons are always on a deadline.) When I get frustrated with the everyday grind, I reflect on how blessed we are. I will be forever grateful to you, Lissa, for inspiring me to make part time work and full time parenting work all those years ago in our cramped apartments in NY. We are both writers too (although we're not as far along the career path as you are). It's good to hear/read that it is possible :) We have both worked at home at the same time, just not in this house. I was consulting, so the revenue was quite a bit higher. I know that nobody really likes to be awwed as we are all just human beings doing the best we can, but your story with Wonderboy and the obvious love, joys and experiences he has added to your days and your cheerful attitude inspire me. I hope it's OK to say that:-) Thanks for sharing just a little peek into your life. I home educate 6 of our 8 children using a combined Charlotte Mason/Relaxed method, so I feel like we are sort of kindred souls.
