I second the Ingalls family, including the earlier generations:)  And I can't wait to look up the families you mentioned that we haven't gotten acquainted with yet.</description>

Some Aussie ones include the Billabong books (by Mary Grant Bruce) where not only is there the Linton family but everyone on the cattle station is part of their family, and the Seven Little Australians books by Ethel Turner.
