I used to go as a vendor for my husband's publishing company (we stick to the homeschool conferences now!). We would always have a contest to see who could guess how many Spock or elf ears we would see that day. But my favorites were always the Stormtroopers LOL! No pic of the green bag?!? or did I miss it? I have never been to a comic con, but I have been to many a sci-fi convention which I would imagine is populated by the same people. My son, who lives in Portland, was there with the "Browncoats," the fans of Joss Whedon/Serenity/Firefly. It was my son, theonetruebix, who conceived and organized the first world-wide benefit showing of the movie Serenity in honor of Joss' birthday. The global event raised many thousands of dollars to benefit Joss' favorite charity, Equality Now. You've got some great photos from the San Diego event.
