		<description>Hey, I just finished the last Charlotte book and I sobbed at the scene where George dies and Martha encourages Charlotte.  What a wonderful book.

I do have one question, though.  Didn&#039;t canning, as we know it, not really come around until later?  It was actually invented by Napoleon&#039;s army cook to preserve food for the soldiers, but I&#039;m not sure about the time frame.  Just a thought...  Every time I came across a reference to canning, I would think, &quot;I have to ask Melissa about that.&quot;  LOL!  So, I ask you...
