I just read our library's copy of Nesbit's "Harding's Luck" and on the back cover (?) it had a list of Nesbit's books plus a biography of her, written by Noel Streatfield! How things are connected! Unfortunately I can't find the Streatfield/Nesbit book at Amazon to give you a link. Maybe I will finally have to get out my "Theatre Shoes" and re-read it even tho' my son isn't interested. It's been such a long time, but the childhood memories are still vivid.

We LOVED Red Sails to Capri, but I did a heavy, heavy accent, more Italian. And lots of hand gestures. The kids went around for weeks quoting some of the more repetitive phrases.

Thanks for reviewing Coraline. I've been wondering. I've heard great things about the book from adults but yeah - it looks so scary! The premise would really disturb me I think. And I keep meaning to put the shoes books down on a list somewhere to be read at a later date.

Ah Red Snores to Capri! We too never got much past Chapter 3 or 4. I guess I need to work on my accents, non?
