"No, thank you, that was enough of that book" was the reply. (It sounded lovely to me. Sigh.) So now I'm wondering what to read next! I tried the Lightning Thief a while back but could feel it floating over Jr.'s head. Maybe we'll give the Mysterious Benedict a go. We borrowed the third one which my dd adored, but I couldn't get past the second chapter. I think I'll try again in 6 months. Has your group read Charlie Bone? My 13 year old loves them and insisted that I read them too. I enjoyed the first 2, but haven't worked my way through the third one yet.
