Whoa. Did it taste as good as it looks? I like lemon meringue pie to be super tangy.

Looks like you were in my neck of the woods! Pie-n-Burger makes a fantastic ollalieberry pie, too. Yum.

What IS ollalieberry??? That was on the menu on Saturday, and I was tempted…but it was whole-pie only for that one.

@Anne Marie: IT WAS AMAZING. Mind you, I never eat the meringue on lemon meringue—too sweet for me. I’m just in it for the lemon. (Would prefer a whipped cream topping, but one seldom finds that. *weeps*) This was some of the best lemon pie I’ve ever had. Perfect crust, perfect tart/sweet ratio, perfect texture. Oh my.

The burger was awesome too. I want to go back. LISA–I AM JEALOUS OF YOUR PROXIMITY!

Well, email me next time you’re up here, and I’ll meet you there! It’s fun to walk around the Caltech campus, too, which is right around the corner.

Ollalieberries are a type of blackberry. Totally worth buying the whole pie…not a better breakfast on the planet than warmed-up pie 🙂
