What a neat page, Lissa! I would love to arrive at it if I were a child looking for something more from you. And I am also intrigued by the idea that you “spent your blog time”. Do you have specific times for specific tasks?

Lesley, in my mind (which is to say: not always in reality) I allocate half an hour of my writing shift to blogging each day. Writing about my kids or things I’m reading has been, over the years, a very good way for me to transition from my mom hat to my writer hat—writing *about* mom stuff serves as a bridge between my two roles. How’s that for a mixed metaphor? š
