And suddenly it’s August
Our 20-year-old niece flew out for Comic-Con and stayed a few extra days for some San Diego fun with her cousins. This turned into a delightful little staycation for us: Balboa Park, Seaport Village, Coronado Beach. She left last night, but our fun continues: another contingent of family just landed and will arrive at the house shortly. In between excursions, I’m trying to catch up on work that got shoved aside during SDCC. So not much blogging time this week, but I’ve been tossing lots of things up on Instagram. Poor old neglected Bonny Glen, I’ll dust you off soon, I promise.

(Oh, and P.S. – I hate to ask, when you’re clearly so busy NOW, but are you going to Kidlit Con? Someone was mentioning you since they’ve extended their sessions call a week – it’d be fun to hang out, even if you don’t present…!)

Ah, Tanita, I hate to say it but I can’t make it to Kidlitcon! I’m giving a talk at SCBWI San Diego that same weekend. I hate to miss the conference when it’s on this coast, though! And I was really REALLY hoping to get to hang with you in person finally. Just ask Scott, I’ve talked his ear off about it. We’ve got to arrange a rendezvous one of these days.
