Thanks so much for these. I confess to being terrified of cooking bacon. My husband will be so pleased that I watched that clip.

She looks as if she is in a C.S. Lewis novel.

Love that picture. And my children thank you for introducing us to Elephant and Piggie. We adore We Are in a Book. Bella has it memorized. And anytime anyone has a banana these days someone says, “Banana. So funny.”

You know, I could very much get into being the Miss Rumphius of Elephant-and-Piggie books. 🙂

oooh.. I like what you did there. The Miss Rumphius of Elephant and Piggie… delightful!

I need to get another copy of Miss Rumphius. I got a used copy and it was missing the first pages. Sad. So I sliced it up and framed some of my favorite full page illustrations and hung them in the kids’ room where they are so lovely. But we still don’t own a reading copy. Ridiculous!

Melanie, I KID YOU NOT—three days ago I was eyeing our copy of Miss Rumphius with the same thought in mind. Buy a 2nd copy and hang up pages of the first one as art. Haven’t done it yet, but I really might!

That is too funny. You should do it!
The pages fit perfectly into some cheap frames I found at Michaels, no trimming necessary. Here’s some not very great photos I took of the results: http://www.thewinedarksea.com/comments.php?id=1756_0_1_0_C

I’m so glad you mentioned The Semi-Attached Couple and The Semi-Detached House! I knew I had to have these stories once I read about them here and at your link. I’m halfway through the first and loving it! As always, thanks!
