Last Call for Giveaway Entries

July 27, 2007 @ 1:47 pm | Filed under: Bloggity

As promised, I’ll be drawing the name for the winner of our Amo Amas Amat & More giveaway at 3pm my time (Pacific). Jane has already prepared the slips of paper for our drawing, but there’s still time for us to add any last-minute entrants.

What is Tidal Homeschooling?

In 2006, a year after I began this blog, I coined the term Tidal Homeschooling to describe my family’s homeschooling style, an ebb and flow of
high tide (planned, Charlotte Mason-ish) and low tide (unschoolish, delight directed) learning. You’ll sometimes see me call it Tidal Learning. Seventeen years later (and counting), the metaphor still works. At the time of this writing (January 2023), I’m enjoying tidal homeschooling with Huck and Rilla, my two youngest, now in their teens.

If you’d like to read more about tidal homeschooling, there are a bunch of posts at this link.
