Alicia at Studeo has posted a list of fun geography links. The Geospy game’s Africa quiz destroyed me. Ouch. Haven’t shown these sites to the kids yet…I just know Jane is going to leave me in the dust. Unless maybe I sneak in a lot of practice first….

I’m glad you liked the links. 🙂 It’s funny, because just yesterday I ordered some of those Marilyn Burns Math books you recommended. My 7th grader found the title “The I Hate Mathematics Book” particularly appealing. Sigh.

In 2006, a year after I began this blog, I coined the term Tidal Homeschooling to describe my family’s homeschooling style, an ebb and flow of
high tide (planned, Charlotte Mason-ish) and low tide (unschoolish, delight directed) learning. You’ll sometimes see me call it Tidal Learning. Seventeen years later (and counting), the metaphor still works. At the time of this writing (January 2023), I’m enjoying tidal homeschooling with Huck and Rilla, my two youngest, now in their teens.
