Call for Submissions: Carnival of Children’s Lit

Sorry to be AWOL lately but we’ve got a ton of stuff going on this week. But! Important! The next edition of the Carnival of Children’s Literature will be hosted by Midwestern Lodestar on Monday, March 19th. Submissions are due by this Friday, the 16th. Many thanks to Midwestern Lodestar for stepping in to host in the pinch. Can’t wait to read all those fine posts!

In 2006, a year after I began this blog, I coined the term Tidal Homeschooling to describe my family’s homeschooling style, an ebb and flow of
high tide (planned, Charlotte Mason-ish) and low tide (unschoolish, delight directed) learning. You’ll sometimes see me call it Tidal Learning. Seventeen years later (and counting), the metaphor still works. At the time of this writing (January 2023), I’m enjoying tidal homeschooling with Huck and Rilla, my two youngest, now in their teens.
