Heather says:
I’m almost finished with Great Expectations. I wish I’d known in my pre-children years how funny Dickens was. Now, it takes me three months to get through what would have once taken a few days. Oh well. I guess it’s not a bad thing to spend three months with Pip and the rest. The characters seem to stick with me longer if my reading is slowed. But I’m eyeing my growing Dickens stack, wanting to jump in, but a little afraid that I might find myself an old women when I finally emerge.
