Wow, how neat that you have a blog. I found you on the unschooling webring. My daughter just finished Little House in the Highlands and she loved it. She especially likes the parts about fairies. We have read for our lessons the entire little house series and now we are starting on yours. We are both thrilled that there are more books. Thank You!

In 2006, a year after I began this blog, I coined the term Tidal Homeschooling to describe my family’s homeschooling style, an ebb and flow of
high tide (planned, Charlotte Mason-ish) and low tide (unschoolish, delight directed) learning. You’ll sometimes see me call it Tidal Learning. Seventeen years later (and counting), the metaphor still works. At the time of this writing (January 2023), I’m enjoying tidal homeschooling with Huck and Rilla, my two youngest, now in their teens.
