What Embarrasses Me Is that I Really Sort of Do Want to Live There

Or in a house like these, at least.
Via Fuse #8: the latest thing in housing developments. And yes, I totally agree with Fuse #8. This concept makes me shudder. And yet: a thatched roof, shiny appliances, and hardwood floors? I admit it. Some of the pictures made me go, Ooh!
A whole neighborhood full of them, mind you, would be too much even for a geek like me. And the sales pitch? Ew ew ew.

I ‘fess up too. I liked the leather chairs by the fireplace pic, and the picture of the second floor where you could just see the stairs going down in the background. Those made me go OOH.

Aw heck. Me too. Maybe that’s why I disliked ’em so much. It’s just me trying to beat down the part of myself that said, “Oooo… pretty pretty stained glass windows”.

Beautiful homes, but a whole neighborhood does sound a bit creepy.
I did take a look at the prices. Holy cow!

Oh my. I’m a little torn on these. Over the top? Completely. But definitely has an odd appeal. Did you notice the whole second floor garage thing?
