Total Lunar Eclipse Wednesday Evening

“Tomorrow night’s eclipse will officially begin at 5:43pm with the most dramatic effects visible between 7 and 8 pm then ending around 9:00pm. The moon will turn shades of red and perhaps even turquoise, according to the folks at NASA.”

In 2006, a year after I began this blog, I coined the term Tidal Homeschooling to describe my family’s homeschooling style, an ebb and flow of
high tide (planned, Charlotte Mason-ish) and low tide (unschoolish, delight directed) learning. You’ll sometimes see me call it Tidal Learning. Seventeen years later (and counting), the metaphor still works. At the time of this writing (January 2023), I’m enjoying tidal homeschooling with Huck and Rilla, my two youngest, now in their teens.
