ProBlogger linked to an applet that shows your website as a graph. Blue dots represent links, purple ones are images, orange is for blockquotes and linebreaks, and so on. Black represents HTML tags. When you run the applet, your website graph blooms before your eyes. It’s like watching Fantasia.

In 2006, a year after I began this blog, I coined the term Tidal Homeschooling to describe my family’s homeschooling style, an ebb and flow of
high tide (planned, Charlotte Mason-ish) and low tide (unschoolish, delight directed) learning. You’ll sometimes see me call it Tidal Learning. Seventeen years later (and counting), the metaphor still works. At the time of this writing (January 2023), I’m enjoying tidal homeschooling with Huck and Rilla, my two youngest, now in their teens.
