Tracey of Picture This is hosting a photo contest! The deadline for entries is August 24th and details are at the link. I’m sure I can come up with something for the "Togetherness" category—and hey Rebecca, there’s a category for toes!

In 2006, a year after I began this blog, I coined the term Tidal Homeschooling to describe my family’s homeschooling style, an ebb and flow of
high tide (planned, Charlotte Mason-ish) and low tide (unschoolish, delight directed) learning. You’ll sometimes see me call it Tidal Learning. Seventeen years later (and counting), the metaphor still works. At the time of this writing (January 2023), I’m enjoying tidal homeschooling with Huck and Rilla, my two youngest, now in their teens.
