Possibly my best idea ever
I struck a deal with the kids: for every new app or game I buy them, they must each memorize a poem. So far, so fabulous. Huck, my little iPad junkie, is shaping up to be a regular minstrel by the time he’s twenty. 🙂

My five year old just asked if he could bring the family iPad on the ride to the dentist. Perhaps a poem first.

This is an AMAZING idea!!!
For awhile, I promised myself shoes for every poem I memorized. It worked, for quite awhile, until I got busy and/or felt slightly guilty about memorizing Ogden Nash limericks for clogs I wanted… *cough*
