Vegetable-Dyed Easter Eggs
April 6, 2006 @ 3:06 am | Filed under: Handcrafts
This is definitely not my year for attempting anything more complicated than Paas, but for those of you with more time and/or ambition than I, Billi-Jean has a great post about making egg dyes from (among other things) cabbages, blueberries, beets, and onions. If you decide to give this a try, I want to see pictures!

Well, having a new sibling right before a major holiday cuts down on the “fancy activities”. This past Christmas, our Christmas cookie decorating consisted of the pre-printed , pre-cut ones with those cheesy edible decorations. We did manage to make “gingerbread” houses out of graham crackers, though. They got a new brother, that should be “gift” enough, right?

We have used the above mentioned veggies to dye wool so why not eggs? Maybe this year we’ll give it a try! Thanks Lissa!
