All the Action Is Over There

Bonny Glen is going to be quiet today (the blog, not the place, nor the state of mind), but I’ve been blogging the move over at the Lilting House. The packers are here now. Their names are Fred and Eddie. I love that so much.

In 2006, a year after I began this blog, I coined the term Tidal Homeschooling to describe my family’s homeschooling style, an ebb and flow of
high tide (planned, Charlotte Mason-ish) and low tide (unschoolish, delight directed) learning. You’ll sometimes see me call it Tidal Learning. Seventeen years later (and counting), the metaphor still works. At the time of this writing (January 2023), I’m enjoying tidal homeschooling with Huck and Rilla, my two youngest, now in their teens.
