“So much depends upon…”

Wil Wheaton linked to this time-lapse video of his brother’s Montana ranch. Turns out, it was exactly what I needed on this Good Friday morning. Sky, light, cloudshadows, song. Melting snow, stark hills, white chickens.

What I find more astounding than the video is that Will Wheaton has a blog and a podcast?!! He was my heart throb when I was 12ish and the rest of my girlfriends were drooling over NKOTB. *sigh*

Jamie, Wil’s blog is one of my favorite internet reads. He’s such an engaging and honest writer. Scott teases me for referring to Wil’s posts so much in conversation!

(I also really enjoyed his book, Just a Geek.)

I would so live in Montana if only the Lord had put 700 miles further south! LOL It is such an amazing, glorious, free place. So big and open. But, oh so cold! There are worse places, I guess, if you ask some one from southeastern Montana about their brutal winters, they will tell you fascinating tales of the glory of ice fishing and wearing so many clothes one can barely move, and then they will add, “But, hey, it’s not like Fargo. Those folks really have it bad.”
