Very cool look at the step-by-step process of cleaning up a scratched old tintype.

I registered for the Pottermore site (or sent them my email) but eh? I can’t seem to get into the Potter world outside of the books so I can’t say I’m terribly excited.

I hadn’t heard about google+ (I know, I live under a rock) but not sure if it would be for me. Facebook is enough at the moment. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see.

Are you all homeschooling at all this summer?

I like the look of google+ – it might even lure me away from Stumbleupon. I’ve heard of Pottermore but, well … the books were more than enough for me and my dd.

Google+…let’s see MySpace is dying…lots of folks have ditched Facebook as a time-sucker…..so yeah, let’s have another thing like both of those. Snarky of me I know…..I think it may be a day late, if not a dollar short. But then, I truly stink at picking out the “next big thing”…..I’m much better with books!

Google+ has the potential to be a good Facebook alternative, if enough people adopt it. Cleaner layout, easier access to subdivided groups of the people you know, and none of the pesky game updates to hide.

But I can see a significant percentage of people I know going ‘meh–I’ll just stick with FB,’ and then I’ll have to stick with FB too in order to keep in touch with them. 😉

Also your review of Google+ has me intrigued. I’ve been a hold-out from any social networking, mostly because of insecurity about how it all really works and weak geek skills, evidenced by the years I’ve been delighted and inspired by you almost daily and am only now venturing into scary comment land 🙂 Thank you for all you do and share and the many wonderful books you’ve placed in my to read pile. You are appreciated! Cyndi
