Every day is complicated, messy, and full of friction. And every day has glorious or cozy moments worth celebrating. I seldom bother to chronicle the friction and the mess because writing time is fleeting and precious—and childhood even more so. I’d rather capture the small joys that I might forget—or take for granted—if I don’t take time to set them down in words.

Posted on September 10th, 2006 at 8:16 amSo we are pretty relaxed on the whole issue of whether or not we sell the house. But the whole showing of the house business? Not so relaxing. I’m ready to toss the whole idea out the window. Who needs the stress?
Do keep in mind, though, that we live in a part of the country where houses are cheap, relative to salaries. Actually, the houses are cheap, relative to nothing at all. They’re just a lot cheaper than most everywhere else. Meaning most everyone owns a home, rather than renting. Meaning that home selling can sometimes be a lot easier around here.
You know I do hope your house sells tomorrow, because I feel like such a wimp reading about how much you are getting accomplished on your own with your house up for sale.
