Rilla’s pick for our Saturday night art date: “How to Sculpt Beetles, Bugs and Scarabs Realistically” class at Skillshare. Delightful course. Really enjoyed the instructor, Stephanie Kilgast—her lessons are clear, simple, and inspiring. Rilla’s take was: “OH GOOD, this is exactly what I’ve been needing to learn.” (Her two chief interests in life are bugs and art. She wants to become an entomologist-slash-artist.)

My house is about to be overrun with Sculpey beetles, I can tell.

Art and bugs—my kind of gal. I think we need pictures of Bugs in the Bonny Glen.

I hope she enjoys every second!

I’d enjoy seeing Oregon bugs too, should the camera be so inclined… and Rilla’s of course!

I cannot wait to see the scarabs. I’m always so pleased that you share what you’re learning on Skillshare. …and I blame you for the fact that I signed up for an Amigurumi class when I can’t even reliably finish a crochet project. I BLAME YOU, LISSA. You tidal educators give me delusions of competency.
